In a recent interview with Total Film, Keira Knightley admitted that she fell asleep on set of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, while waiting around in the background.
Asked what she remembered about filming the movie, she said: “I mean, I was 12. I literally don’t remember… I remember the headdress being so heavy, it gave me a headache. I really remember the headache from one of the headdresses.
“And I remember being in the background for such a long time that I’d actually fallen asleep.
“I was just sitting in a chair, and I was in the background, but I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I really remember that. But apart from that, I don’t remember anything else about it.”
Knightley will next appear in the drama Misbehaviour, a true story about the Women’s Liberation Movement which famously disrupted the live broadcast of the Miss World pageant in 1970.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw also stars in the film as Jennifer Hosten, the Miss Grenada contestant who became the first ever black woman to win Miss World at that the same pageant.
The cast for Misbehaviour also includes Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard), Jessie Buckley (Chernobyl, Wild Rose), Lesley Manville, Greg Kinnear, Rhys Ifans and Phyllis Logan.
Misbehaviour is in cinemas from Friday March 13th 2020.
